Not Every Moment, needs to be shared with everyone.
At Jay Grubb Photography & Video, we understand that not every photo in your wedding gallery is meant for everyone to see. Whether it’s a candid moment you'd prefer to keep private or a few behind-the-scenes shots just for you, PixieSet makes it simple to hide selected images from your guests while still keeping them in your gallery.
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through how to mark photos as private in your PixieSet online photo gallery—ensuring that when you share your Guest Password, those private images remain hidden.
Why Would You Want to Hide Photos?
Here are some common reasons clients choose to mark photos private:
- Personal or sensitive moments you'd rather keep just between you and your partner.
- Behind-the-scenes shots meant only for you.
- Any images not intended for public viewing but still part of your full collection.
How to Mark Photos as Private in PixieSet
Step 1: Log Into Your Gallery
- Visit the link provided in your delivery email.
- Use your Client Password (not the Guest Password) to log in to your gallery.
Tip: Only the Client Password allows access to management features like hiding photos.
Step 2: Navigate to Your Images
- Once you're logged in, browse through your gallery and locate the photo(s) you’d like to mark as private.
Step 3: Hover over a photo
- Hover over a photo and look for the Private Icon on the lower right hand side of the image.
- The private icon looks like an eye with a diagonal line through it.
Step 4: Mark as Private
- Click the private icon to mark that photo as private.
- When a photo is marked as private, the private icon will be permanently displayed in your client view of the gallery. This lets you know that these photos are not shown to anyone logged in as a guest.
What Happens Next?
- Private photos stay visible to you when logged in with your Client Password.
- Guests using your Guest Password will not see these photos.
- You can unmark photos as private at any time by clicking the private icon again in the bottom corner of the photo.
- Important Notes
- Your entire gallery remains shareable, and only the selected photos are hidden.
